Fiona is a native of the Isle of Skye but is now based in Glasgow. Being a multi-instrumentalist allowed Fiona to colour many projects and bands, but it was her drive, power and style on the fiddle that brought her to the forefront of the Scottish folk and traditional scene. Her playing, compositions and arrangements can be heard throughout many of the most influential and appreciated bands out there at present. Fiona's most prevalent work and creativity can be heard in the music of ground breaking bands Niteworks and Kinnaris Quintet – the latter of which Fiona is a founding and integral member of.  Fiona is also a Gaelic Primary Teacher in Cumbernauld. 

Accordionist John Somerville has worked with many acts from the Scottish folk and roots scene including being a founder member of Treacherous Orchestra, Croft No Five, Box Club, Babelfish and the Cask Strength Ceilidh band. He has gained a reputation for pushing the boundaries of folk whilst remaining true to his native Highland roots. Hailing from Abriachan on the shores of Loch Ness, John’s playing has drawn influences from far and wide - from Highland and West coast music through to Border and Piping traditions, Ceilidh music, European Folk and Electronic Dance music. He now lives in Glasgow where he is in demand as a teacher, performer, arranger and composer.

Signy Jakobsdottir has over thirty years of experience. Recording and performing credits include work with Capercaillie, Donald Shaw, Michael McGoldrick, Patsy Reid and Josie Duncan. She plays a broad range of instruments from congas to cajon, darbukka to drum kit and uses bells, gongs and unusual percussion instruments to create atmosphere, texture and a unique sound. Class with Signy usually includes rhythm warm-ups using drumsticks and learning accents inside of different grooves, using percussion to create atmosphere and texture and building short pieces together.

Liam is one of the foremost fingerstyle guitarists in the Scottish Highlands. A highly versatile and qualified musician Liam has recently gained an MA in Music and the Environment. His unique approach to guitar and live performance ensures he never fails to captivate and engage a wide range of audiences. He seamlessly blends his humour, emotion and commanding stage presence through his songs and classic covers which showcase his lightning fast, fingerpicking style. This was seen in performances at the Celtic Connections Festival and sell-out Under Canvas performances at Eden Court. 

Ewan Duncan is a piper, flute and whistle player from Newtonmore in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. A fluent Gaelic speaker, his repertoire is deeply inspired by his highland roots. Ewan studied folk and traditional music at Newcastle University where he developed his technique on bagpipes and flute and in 2023 became a member of the traditional music band, Eabhal. Outside of performing, Ewan is a TV producer specialising in music programming.

Emma started learning the clarsach in primary school and went on to study music at university.  After travelling around the world with a tiny clarsach, she returned to the Highlands and currently lives in Kingussie with her young family.  She regularly teaches for Fèis Spè, Fèis Rois, the Clarsach Society and the Cromarty Arts Trust and performs all over Scotland.  Emma loves sharing the experience of playing and experimenting on the clarsach with people of all ages.

Sophie Stephenson is a dance artist, teacher and performer who specialises in a Scottish style of percussive step dance. Hailing from Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness, Sophie's passion for the traditional arts is rooted in her Highland upbringing and participation in cèilidh dances, music sessions and local fèisean from a young age. Sophie is particularly inspired by the rhythmical connections between language, music, song and dance, and many of her collaborations bring together puirt-à-beul (Gaelic mouth music) and percussive dance.
